Going Undersea.

Creative or desperate... Which one would you call us? Decided going beneath the sea, after having no clue where to kill the time this weekend. It's been more than 10 years since the first time I visited this place. With still keeping ourselves dry, here's how we discover the underwater world ;)

We went to the Touch Pool.

Ully was freaking herself out, holding the starfish while posing for the camera.
Me, touching it, too.
"Fish are friends, not food."
Marlin: Now, what's the one thing we have to remember about the ocean?
Nemo: It's not safe.
Marlin: That's my boy.
Hey hey, what do you think these two pals are doing?
Discussing a secret plan of getting out from this giant cage? ;p
Suiting in stripes, black & white won't get you old-fashioned ;)

The puffer fish, or ikan buntal in Bahasa..
I was wondering when will this creature be under attack, inflates, then gives its funny blown up look.
Glowing little seahorses in between the seaweed.

A huge turtle swimming above me.

Marlin: Crush, wait. How old are you?
Crush: Hundred and fifty, and still young, dude. Rock on.
Yes, mirror reflection will always be photographer's best friend.

Shark feeding time.

Marlin: I can't read human.
Dory: Then we need to find a fish that can read this.
Hey, look! Sharks!

-Finding Nemo-
The zebra mantis shrimp. It nested by digging holes in sandy sea grass.

At the end of the day, looks like an extraordinary idea visiting the Seaworld wasn't really a bad one.

I wish you all a refreshed weekend.
"Just keep on swimming..."

I'll leave you with this song ;)

Bubbles of love,
Indira

Hello, everyone. In this Saturday morning, what do you say about having a good breakfast? In today's most happening cakery... the Union.
I finally had a chance to go to a place like-the-whole-Jakarta have been talking about.
Woke up early, just really to be the first to arrive, and surprised that they still gave us restricted time of only an hour as we didn't make any reservation. Oh, seriously?
Good morning! Here she goes again, Ully, on her quick weekend getaway, visiting me from Surabaya.

Our second breakfast this morning ;p After the bubur Cikini we had on our way here. I got myself iced Moroccan tea.
Not to forget, we went "pigging" ourselves out with this place's most wanted dish ~the red velvet,
Which, cost us IDR 50,000. Which... I didn't find too impressive after all. No, no, no. Nothing beats my all-time favorite green tea cake! :D
* * *
My personal rating I can give to this place: 7. Nice place with good ambience. Yet, if it never gets me the second time going here again, I wouldn't mind. ;)

I wrote this post as I just watched Just Alvin in Metro TV. The show was about the issue in twitter between a musician couple "A.MS" and his wife, "M", versus "M. H", a female politician and an old era actress.

This somehow, reminded me of something and got me to write.

Miss. A: "Kok sekarang gw jarang liat elo ngetwit ya Ra?"
Me : "Hehe… Emang udah lama nggak kok”
or...
Mr. R : "Lo ngilang ya dari twitter?? Ngetwit lagi dong!! Kenapa sih lo???"
Me : "Ahahaha… Malashhh"

And sure, there’re still many identical questions and comments, all over again.
So. Why did I stop twitting?
Well… Why not?

I’ve decided to withdraw myself from the twitland since about a year ago. To be honest, at the first time, it was because I couldn’t manage to see certain people’s tweets. Thereafter, I also felt like I’ve seen more and more… uhmm, please excuse my French, imitated public images. The way some people create phony look about themselves… that in such a way, contrary to their real, factual lives. In such, sometimes, very melodramatic kind of way. There’re more and more people who do something, go to places, to twit. Not the other way around. Example… Miss. A would go to a concert so that she can twit. Or… Mr. B would visit a fancy restaurant, for the sake of he could twitpic.. et cetera.. et cetera. Do tell me, are these people really in a desperate need for public recognition? Or in some other time.. cursing.. swearing.. in a very synical, disrespectful manner. I mean hey, the world doesn't need to know all about you. Twit wisely. Chill.

Well, speaking up your mind via twitter, FB or others is not a crime for sure, neither a sin. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not fully against those. I admit, I still, for once and a while, sign in, just to have a quick look to read people’s wise quotes or just to know what my closest friends are up to. And after all, it’s surely every person’s right to express his or her thoughts and judgments through the net. Undeniably, microblogging had also provided us immediate information regarding many things. World's updates and all. This is just my own sweet way to limit the impact of social networking towards me. As you see now, at the very moment, I'm blogging. I just choose where I decide to share my thoughts and filtrate what I want to digest. And maybe not through twitter.

If you ever heard the saying,
“life is much simpler when APPLE and BLACKBERRY were just fruits"...

Yes, I do agree with that. I feel better when I don’t have to make a big deal out of what people might think about me, about what I twit, about what they might react. I do feel a lot better when I don’t have to see that green little "t" sign showed up at the top of my BB display and then again got myself checking in, and see what I don't want to see. "Life is much simpler when apple and blackberry were just fruits"...Life was much simpler back then, the time when you don’t have to worry about checking your e-mails 24/7 – just in case important ones come. Life was much easier, when you are focused more on developing your skills in the real life instead of the cyber world. Maybe, life would be, anyhow... easier, simpler, when who twits was still the little birdy. ;)

In brief,
life was easier, but that does not mean that it was worse,
nor better
–the answer entirely depends on you.
It's just the matter of perspectives.

Well, these are just random thoughts. No offence. Just for fun.

Cheers to your day,
Indira

Ones of God-sent. Places I'd always call home.
Ones I'd never meant to neither let down, nor take for granted.
Without them, what am I?

Hello, Retina!
On this very first Monday of the year,
I'm starting my rotation in Vitreoretinal division.
Something I've been waiting for so long.
Excited, scared, challenged.
I have no idea why the posterior segment always impresses me.
With one of the senior consultants I always adore since the pre clinic module~ dr. GL.

So, would Retina still be one of my foremost subspecialties radar?
Well, I'll find out ;)
