It's the Baby Bump!

* * *
"SHE came into my life and gives excitement, enthusiasms, giggles..

Egocentric, carefree, overindulge.. Yes! That was me.
Then SHE came into my life and gives me determination to be someone righteous.

I ask myself ”Am I worthy to nurture this magical gift that God has sent me?”
I hope I am.. Cause I will struggle beyond compare.. sincerely for her serenity.

Now I understand.
SHE brings out a better portrayal of me.
It all simply started with a miracle touch of little angel.

My juliet.
My star.
My sanguineness.

SHE is my divine daughter.
Who holds the key to my heart."

A very wonderful poem written by my cousin, Laila Ismail, for her daughter, Zarla Malaika Siregar. It always warms my heart reading it :)

I know my hands were too cold and rigid after been neglecting my camera and studio life for period of time I can't even remember. But then here I am, completed my baby-bump project for my friend who's expecting her first child. This was my first maternity shoot. Nervous? I was. But I'm happy we made it anyways.

This series are specially dedicated to Ajeng Gracia Soetriesno, her husband Ajie, and her upcoming baby angel... Annika :)

Big thanks should go to the beautiful mom-to-be, her lovely make up artist Elly, and my dear friend Ardy who helped me with the studio. None of these would been done without them.

Xoxo,
Indira

Blessing in disguise

[Bali, October 11th-13th 2013]

I flown a solo afternoon flight that day, catching up my two other friends that have gone for Denpasar earlier in the morning.
The sun seekers at La Plancha.

I rushed myself from my workplace after making up some unreasonable excuse, I was hoping I wouldn't be late to get to the airport. Still, the flight was delayed for 2 hours.

We've planned this getaway for quite long.
Here goes, here goes...
Hello again, Bali!

My friends came to get me at the airport as I arrived around late at night. We drove up to Karma Kandara for dinner. The road was pitch black, there were almost no road lights.
Quick breakfast at Clio Hotel the next morning, just before we begin our Saturday.
The second "real" breakfast at the ayam Kedewatan, Ibu Mangku.
Just P.E.R.F.E.C.T!
Opening our eyes to this beautiful view at Finn's beach club.
I was telling myself, "good bye deadlines and heartbreaks"
From where I stood, walking down the cliff to reach the beach.

"Here was where I recorded a video I've once sent you.  Just so you could see what I see, and hear what I hear. The breeze whispering before my ears, L."

But I know, the smile wasn't yours.

 My loveliest, sexiest friend.
 Super girl :)
Burn us down, Sun.

Stopped over at Biku for lunch. I was starving.
The book store, inside the eating place.

"Green smoothie" I ordered. I agreed with Ayu this time, this drink failed.
Veggies are lame.
And yes, this would definitely help.
 Ayu's.
Another big meal that day, Biku's nasi campur.
The high tea set after we were actually quite full.
VUE beach club, later that afternoon. So sad that we didn't manage to see the sunset.

That Timeflies' song still playing over my head every time I see this picture.

"Malibu, beach blonde, crashing on these shores
Smile shining like gold
But that smile wasn't yours
And I know, I know, I know

Everybody needs somebody to love
....and I choose you"

Our last stop that day. My special request... the aunthetic Motel Mexicola.

I heart every detail in this place.

Framing myself, as always.

The night got older. We went home at about 2 A.M. A Saturday night well spent.
Surely not to mention the fight I had over the phone ;p

At Potato Head on our last day. Just before we left the island.
The days passed by so quickly as we spent most of our time on the road, going from one place to another.
The holiday to me, was personally, a bit beyond expected.
After all, I was glad that me and my friends had made the time to get each other's back.
Thank you for pulling me up through those heavy moments, and never got tired listening to my pointless love dramas all over.

Well, the story has found its end anyways.
As Vidya says, "I believe this time it's just the way it should be" ;)

Kisses and hugs for you two, baby girls!
Indira.

Transparent.

You, my dear, are like crystal glass.
Brittle, breakable and equally transparent.

It's funny of how much people can change. But some, just don't.. At all

That's why I want to get out of here
Out of this place and away from, every, memory.

There's too little honesty and genuineness you've once harbored.
Contempt under a thin layer of sickly sweetness.

You, are like crystal glass.
Brittle, breakable, transparent.

Neither I hate nor I despise. Cause I even have lost the sense to.

This girl right here, is just regretful.. Of how small you have become.

That day you walked back,
Right away I know I have to let you keep breaking my heart until it can reopen.
